I have a car that was taken into a shop because it would not start. After 2 weeks, the owner of that shop called me and said that the engine was frozen and it was $2500.00 to install a used engine. I told the shop owner that I could not afford to do that and that I would have my car towed to my house. I thought about the fact that my car ran fine when I parked it at the store but when I was done shopping it would not start. I called a friend for some advice and she said to get a second opinion.
On my way to work I noticed the sign for Advanced Auto Repair. So I called and explained to him what my car is doing and let him know that I do not have the money to put an engine in it. He told me that they would start from the beginning and figure out what I need. He gave me the phone number to a tow company (better price than the one I used) and I got my car to them. It took about 1 day and they called me with good news. He said the starter was bad and the gear was stuck out into the engine and that was why the other shop could not turn the engine, even with a hand tool. He replaced my starter and my car is great. The total price with the tow was about $325.00. Thank you Advanced Auto Repair. I tell all my friends.
