Auto electrical diagnostics in Idaho Falls
A warning light, a battery that keeps dying or a vehicle that starts only sometimes can have more than one possible cause. We test the system to find the fault before recommending the repair.

Electrical problems we diagnose
Advanced Auto Repair works alongside Automotive Electrical Specialists at 930 East Lincoln Road. Bring us a no-start, intermittent stall, battery drain, charging issue, wiring fault, lighting problem or check engine light. Tell us when the issue happens and what has already been replaced; those details help us reproduce the symptom and choose the right tests.
No-start and intermittent failures
A click, slow crank or occasional failure to start calls for testing the battery, starter, charging and control circuits rather than guessing at a single part.
Battery drains and charging
When a battery goes flat after parking, we can check current draw and the charging system to narrow down what is staying on or failing to recharge.
Check engine lights and wiring
Fault codes give a starting point. Testing helps distinguish a failed component from a connection, wiring or control problem.
The next step
What happens next
Call us with your vehicle's year, make and model and describe the symptoms. We will discuss a diagnostic visit, inspect the concern and explain what the testing shows before repair work moves forward. For classic and custom vehicles, our electrical team also handles harness installation and wiring integration.
Can you diagnose a problem another shop couldn't find?
We regularly work on hard-to-find electrical and drivability concerns. An intermittent fault may take time to reproduce, so bring any notes about when it occurs, recent work and warning lights.
